Brooklyn duo Sleigh Bells are expected to drop their debut album, Treats, on May 11 through Mom+Pop Records, partnered with NEET Recordings (M.I.A.’s label).  Guitarist Derek Miller will be producing.

The band has not officially released any material as of yet, so we’ve just had the demos from their MySpace page to go on.  They have held me over okay, but I’m definitely aching for more.

Their sound is such a nice blend of a few styles.
Some of it’s dance-y.  Some of it’s pop-y.  All of it’s groovy

My favorite track is:  “Crown On The Ground” (*keep in mind- this is only a demo)
Since it’s hard to leave the others behind… here’s a second: “Ring Ring”

They are on tour and scheduled to play with Yeasayer on May 4th at Webster Hall, NYC.
I have only heard good things about their live set, and I will definitely be seeing them when they roll around.
